Nachdem ich mich gestern wieder so ein bisschen auf den Raspberry eingeschworen habe, ist auch das Thema Retro-Computer und Emulatoren erneut in meinen Fokus geraten. Ich habe noch so einige Spiele-ROMs auf meinem NAS gespeichert. Die Spiele gab es seinerzeit mal in verschieden Computerzeitschriften auf den Heft-CDs gratis mit dazu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Vice<\/a>\u00a0ist der Emulator f\u00fcr 8-Bit Commodore-Computer schlechthin.<\/span> Neben dem C64 und dem VIC20 werden noch einige weitere Modelle unterst\u00fctzt, aber die erstgenannten sind hier sozusagen die am besten laufenden Klassiker. Das Setup kann mitunter etwas ruckelig sein, aber auf einem Blog habe ich eine sehr brauchbare Anleitung<\/a> f\u00fcr Ubuntu gefunden, die ich auch f\u00fcr aktuelle Versionen als funktionsf\u00e4hig ansehe (weil ich sie soeben erfolgreich ausprobiert habe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prinzipiell muss man nur
\nsudo apt install vice<\/code>
\nausf\u00fchren. Leider fehlen bei dieser Art der Installation die System ROMs, die normalerweise in den VICE-Quellen mit enthalten sind. Hier kann man gl\u00fccklicherweise dann mittels sudo<\/em> folgende Befehle in einem Bash-Skript ausf\u00fchren:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danach l\u00e4uft der Emulator mit dem Kommando x64<\/code> gut an. Falls ihr euch das sparen wollt, weil ihr \u2013 so wie ich \u2013 sowieso einen Raspberry in einem alten C64 verbauen wollt, gibt es noch\u00a0Combian 64 OS<\/em>. In dem sehr informativen Post Building a C64-Pi<\/a> werden dieses Setup sowie einige praktische Dinge f\u00fcr das Verbauen der Hardware besprochen. Allerdings kann das von mir angesprochene Wissen nicht schaden, weil es sich hierbei auch – zumindest rein technisch – um eine VICE-Installation auf einem Linux-Rechner (Raspbian) handelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Falls ihr euch mehr f\u00fcr den Amiga interessiert, gibt es den FS-UAE Amiga Emulator<\/a>. Das Setup ist ganz \u00e4hnlich, erst den Emulator installieren, dann die System-ROMs besorgen und verf\u00fcgbar machen. Allerdings gibt es hier wohl tats\u00e4chlich noch wirtschaftliches Interesse und einige der Kickstart-ROMs tauchen zudem f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack zu oft zusammen mit Wine<\/em> in einem Satz auf, sodass ich mir das eventuell sp\u00e4ter noch einmal genauer ansehe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
